This charmingly romantic, character cottage is situated in the 'Perigord Vert' region of the Dordogne: An area of outstanding natural beauty which has the added advantage of being within easy reach of many tourist attractions. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and unspoilt with rolling hills and valleys, fairytale chateaux, medieval villages, prehistoric caves, many rivers and lakes to explore and most famously - the wonderful restaurants boasting dishes of truffles and foie gras.

Situated only 1/4 kilometre from the historic village of Payzac (above), you can take a stroll each morning to buy your fresh croissants for breakfast from one of the two excellent bakeries

The cottage is within walking distance to the historic village of Payzac where you can have a 5 course lunch (including wine) at one of the village restaurants for as little as 12euros!! The River Auvezere is a short walk away and is a popular spot for fishing.The owners Mike and Jenny are sure you will enjoy visiting this beautiful part of the Dordogne and guests have shown their appreciation with the cottage by returning year after year..
